Depending on the patient's concerns, breast aesthetics can be performed in various situations. For example, it is used to lift sagging breasts, reduce breast losses associated with cancer, treat gynecomastia in men, and address breasts that are structurally too small or too large to the extent that it bothers women.

During breast augmentation surgery, silicone implants are placed through a 4-5 cm incision under the arm, around the areola, or under the breast. After the procedure, these incisions are virtually undetectable. Over time, the incisions become less visible.

How Is Breast Aesthetics Performed?

During breast augmentation surgery, silicone implants are placed through a 4-5 cm incision under the arm, around the areola, or under the breast. Breast implants, which are made of silicone, are filled with silicone gel. Each patient requires a different shape and size of an implant. The doctor and the patient jointly decide based on the patient's preferences and physical measurements.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. As a result, the treatment is painless for the patient.

The technique for breast reduction surgery is determined based on the amount and shape of the patient's breast tissue. Therefore, patients are usually asked to have a mammogram taken before breast reduction surgery. Breast lift surgery is often combined with breast augmentation or reduction. When the breasts are severely sagging, breast implants can be used. In cases where the patient's breast tissue is sufficient, I prefer breast lift using the patient's own tissue. Breast lift surgery restores volume to the breast and eliminates sagging. The nipple is repositioned during breast lift surgery.

Is a Breast Implant Noticeable from the Outside?

Breast implants made according to normal standards and the patient's body size cannot be detected from the outside. They are only noticeable in applications that go beyond the norm.

Will There Be Scars After Breast Augmentation Surgery?

While the scar from breast augmentation surgery does not completely disappear, it will be hidden under the breast. Additionally, these scars turn pale pink over time and become unnoticeable.

How Soon After Giving Birth Can Breast Lift Surgery Be Performed?

Breast lift surgery should not be performed until at least 6 months after the milk has dried up. It should be done after 6 months.

When Can You Return to Work After Breast Aesthetics?

The day following breast aesthetic surgery, the patient can return home. After the surgery, it is recommended to rest for 3-4 days for the patient's recovery. After breast aesthetic surgery, the patient can return to both work and social life within a week. However, for individuals with jobs that require a lot of physical activity, this time frame may be slightly longer.
