Liposuction
Liposuction is the removal of localized fat deposits for individuals who do not have weight problems but wish to slim down specific areas. Excess fat tissue is eliminated from the body using the liposuction technique, which is used to shape the body. It is particularly applied to address localized fat accumulation in areas such as the waist, abdomen, hips, and thighs. During the liposuction technique, small incisions of 1-2 mm are made in the fatty tissues, and a vacuuming method is used to remove fat from specific areas.
What Is the Recovery Period Like After Liposuction Application?
Following liposuction, special corsets designed for this purpose are worn. Wearing the corset is recommended by a specialist for a period of 4-8 weeks after the procedure. The duration of use may vary for each patient. Swelling, bruising, and edema are common side effects and will gradually diminish over time. Stitches are removed one week after the liposuction treatment, and if there are no health issues, the patient can return to their normal daily life after three weeks.

Additionally, liposuction is a procedure that both men and women can choose. Common areas where the treatment is often performed include the breasts, hips, thighs, flanks, and waist circumference.
